H. S. M. Bakker and H. Smits: Idea and practice of the MSO-approach in the extramurae light against epilepsy.
As indicated bij the title this article deals with the ideas about the MSO approach as well as the application in practice.
After a further description of the conception of epilepsy, first of all the importance of the MSO-approach of both the patient with epilepsy and the health and wellfare organisation in this country are discussed. The reason is that the three dimensions cannot be considered independently as they influence each other.
Then the applicability of the MSO approach to the every day practice of epilepsy as well as to scientific research is discussed, including the MSO- scales.
In conclusion it is suggested that idea and practice of the MSO-approach should be further developed in interaction of each other.
