In this study we give a review of symptomatology, agoraphobia and depression in 38 outpatients with panic disorder. Symptomatology as rated by patients is compared with a rating by the investigators and with other studies. The conclusions are that panic disorder has a distinct symptomatology that can be replicated in divers studies. The registration of the attacks by patients and investigators is rather similar though the investigators score significantly fewer symptoms.
