Self-control approaches to alcoholism

Self-control is necessary for success in the treatment of alcoholism. Self control only begins after uttering of performance promises, commitments or intention statements.
Shame (to be an alcoholist) makes the 'promise' probably.
Techniques of self-control by alcohol addiction are described.
