A cohort of 100 patients with a long term psychiatric career treated with home care, social interventions and drugs, were categorized in groups according to their societal position (a combination of sex, marital status) at the onset of their psychiatric career. By doing this it became possible to categorize the 100 patients in groups of patients that were having comparible problems in social role performance.
