Meinardi: Epileptology, contribution to the light against epilepsy in psychiatry
An outline is given of the problem of people with epilepsy in psychiatrie institutions. This group of patients doesn't seem to fully benefit from all the new developments in epileptology. Excessive behavioural problems preclude the hospitalization of these groups of patients in special centres for epilepsy. It is concluded that the scope of the problem is still not clear. It is proposed that this problem should be investigated by the joint group consisting of staff members of psychiatrie institutions and those of special centres for epilepsy.
