Evaluation of psychotherapy of psychiatric in-patients by means of questionnaires
The psychotherapeutic treatment of a number of psychiatric in-patients was evaluated in a pre-post design by psychological testing. Two personality inventories and a questionnaire were used. It was shown that a curvi-linear relationship exists between the degree of illness at the beginning of treatment and the result of psychotherapeutic intervention. The residential treatment- time correlated with neuroticism, extraversion, and a self-report of symptoms. In the discussion an index to measure the results of psychotherapy is proposed.
