In the present study 63 out of 82 (76%) subjects were followed-up 15 years after their first non-affective psychosis with a standardized interview, containing psychopathological measures (PSE) as well as observational measures (SANS). Of the original cohort of 82 subjects 9 (11%) had died of suicide, 5 (6%) were not traceable and another 5 (6%) refused to be interviewed. At least about one in five patients (16 patients) had a complete recovery, 23% was (still) psychotic. The others were faced with various degrees of incomplete remission. Results are given as regards patterns of course, current diagnosis and negative symptoms.
